Q. If something is unavailable, can one have it made to order?

A. In principle, yes, it is possible to have products custom made or ordered. However, with the worsening situation some craft groups do fold. I am always looking for new sources and products, so if exactly the same is not available, soemthing similar will be!! It also depends on the size of the product!! Small products can be sent by air mail fairly easily whereas larger objects have to be sent by sea and can take some time to organise and arrive!!! If you are intersted in any furniture or any other goods that you wish to be custom-made, please do not hesitate to enquire. I usually o to Zimbabwe to fill a container around April/May withy the aim of the goods being in the UK during the summer. This is the best time to order heavy items.

Q. Are all the products made in Africa?

A. Yes, all the products are made in Zimbabwe and Madagascar.

Q. Can the items be collected instead of spending money of postage and packaging?

A. Yes, of course products can be collected. In fact, we suggest that you come to Pachipamwe for shopping so you can see all the products and also make sure products are transported carefully.

Q. If one product was purchased, could an exact replica be provided?

A. Suppose if you bought an aluminium platter, the other platters in a particular style would look very similar but would not be exactly the same. No two products are exactly the same as they are all hand-made.

Q. Can one come to the shop at anytime?

A. The "shop" isn't a typical high street shop!! It is not open all the time and an arrangement needs to be made in advance. Please see the contact page for details.

Q. Can credit cards be used to pay?

A. No. Only cheques or cash please.
